Is the ongoing rift in the Democratic party helping McCain in the general election?

I don't understand why this is considered a rift in the Democratic party. They are suggesting that Hillary drop out of the race & just give it to Obama, why in the heck should she do that? What rift is there, these are two candidates that are in it to win, let it alone, let the best person win, leave us a choice! I want to vote for Hillary & a # of people in IN want to do the same, are we to be cheated out of a choice when this is the first time in many years we have had any voice in an election! Heck no, leave it alone, I want my vote to be counted as it hasn't in longer than I can remember! Get lost DNC!

Yes. But don't rule out the ability of the Republicans to screw up the gift laid in their lap.

According to most polls (MSNBC) today McCain's positives have increased. He has closed the gap to about 4-5 points to Sen. Obama.

However, in the Fall based on how McCain speaks, Sen. Obama is going to dramatically increase his lead and thus victory.

this is an election that we should have won easily because the Republicans have blown it so badly.
