Does the Democratic party have the power to kick Clinton out of the race right now?

Instead of waiting for her to implement her scorched earth plan and hand the GE to McCain? Can they just say "Ok Mrs. Clinton, you're done. It is statistically all but impossible for you to win and you have demonstrated an inability to take the fight to our Republican rival and instead have focused solely on hurting Obama. It's divisive and if successful will harm the party for years or even decades to come" Or something along those lines....

Can they do that? Should they? I think it's obvious what I think.
No I'm not at all worried about the outcome of the remaining elections, I'm worried about the democratic party imploding with internal conflict. Surely you see the difference...
trickygirl - I'm just asking a question, trying to get opinions. Notice how I wasn't trying to declare that Clinton should begone, I was asking whether YOU think Clinton should begone... surely you see the difference

No. Why are you worried your candidate might not be in favor with the majority of super delegates?

Seriously if you think that is a good campaign strategy then you need to hear what you are saying and realize if he can't take the competition with Hillary he can't win against McCain, becasue guess what, you can't kick him out of the race either.

The Democratic Party has already divided, this is kind of the problem when you have two candidates especially both historic ones. With all the mudslinging I would be utterly amazed if either could unify the party once it is all said and done.

The Dem party has made it so that the popular vote does not count. It helps make sure that if the people make the "wrong decision" Super Delegates can correct them. Just another way the Dems like government to do everything for everyone because Americans are innately stupid. I.e. cant get own jobs, cant get own healthcare, cant get mortgages based on their actual income.....

No I support Obama but the party can't force Clinton out of the race. Rumor has it though that the superdelegates may gather at a miniconvention in June and decide the nominee so the matter will be settled before the actual convention. Obama is the likely nominee and will win unless Clinton wins almost every remaining primary and caucus.
