Has anyone tried to use dental floss to close the gap of the teeth?

I have a gap in between teeth and i dont wanna go to the orthododentist to check as it is very expensive.

I use flossing thread to remove them, why dentist1

I've tried. Don't do it! It bends your teeth so they are at a weird diagonal!
