Exactly how dangerous is mercury gas?

I've heard that the newer light bulbs and older dental work (fillings) contain mercury that gives off mercury gas. The bulbs release it when they burn out and older fillings release it when they are warmed by hot food or drinks. Has anyone ever felt the effects of or gotten sick off of this type of mercury exposure?

The Mercury release from both thouse instances is highly minut, so getting sick from either of thouse is highly rare or all together not possible, you are more likly to get mercury poisoning from fish than your filling or lightbulb.Wikipedia actually has a good amount of creditable information about Mercury poisoning

It's dangerous. It can affect the central nervous system, the liver, and, well, it can affect every system in the body. It can also lower body iodine which can affect the thyroid, sex organs, skin, eyes, etc. It's pretty scary stuff.
