What do you think the dentist will do? In the back of my mouth at my back molar the gum is red, swollen, throbbing, bleeding sometimes and is quite painful. My lymph nodes in my neck on that side and also swollen since obviously there is some sort of infection going on. I never had my wisdom teeth removed and they are impacted with no way of coming up. I am assuming that this is part of the problem and was wondering if the dentist will give me antibiotics first before even considering extracting a tooth to let the wisdom tooth come up. Also, is it possible to get a prescription of antibiotics to get rid of the infection and wait and see if it becomes issue again. I don't have any money and all of this will have to go on a credit card which I am absolutely dreading. I am also TERRIFIED of anesthesia and would basically do anything NOT to have surgery. For an extraction of a tooth above the surface would I have to be put out or can they numb it up really good and remove it? Dental professionals help!

What do you think the dentist will do? wisdom teeth are no longer needed and are removed precisely because there's no room for them. they won't remove a good molar to make room for a wisdom tooth because we don't chew that far back in our mouths. you're going to be fine and had better get used to the fact that in our lives we sometimes need anaesthesia, surgery, etc. trust me, you don't want to do this without anaesthesia - it's major and involves stuff that would cause you to go thru the roof if you weren't in a state of altered consciousness.I repeat: you'll be fine but don't ignore it or you will definitely not be fine.

What do you think the dentist will do? I have this going on right now and no a denist can not do a precedure on a tooth with a infection so you will have to take antibotics before he works on it and he will more in likley give you pain meds for the pain and of course he will numb it but you need to tell him you are scared of anesthesia because i am too and he will give you a pill to relax you or you can choose Laughing gas it works wonderfuly i had two root canals and two weeks kater 3 and i took a valium that he prescribed me and it made me sleep and also did laughing gas! laughing gas Caused me $40 and to pull a wisdom tooth is $100 most places!
