How do you used detal gel when you have trench mouth?

I have just gone to the dentist with sore bleeding gums on my right side only, and he said he believes it may be the beginning of trench mouth which he finds strange as the rest of my gums are not affected and that i have good oral hygiene. I have been told to floss and use dental gel and if this doesn't work, antibiotics. I am not sure how i should be using this dental gel. Anyone have any ideas?It is called Corsodyl (Chlorhexidine digluconate). It does have some instructions but says brushing teeth with the gel for gingivitis or just put on gums for ulcers but i have been only given a little sachet!

doesn't it come with instructions for use? What is it called? You can also rinse your mouth twice daily with hydrogen peroxide, which releases oxygen and helps kill the bacteria causing the infection as well as remove any dead tissue.
