PLEASE HELP !! i have no dental insurance and A hole in tooth shooting pain in the gum?

i dont have a lot of money and out of work i cannot take this pain i went to the dentist yesterday a he just gave me pain pills and said that i needed surgery to remove the tooth but it was going to cost me to anywhere between 700 up 1000s dollars PLease HELP me find something reasonable!!!!! or a better solution

pay the money man I didn't have dental myself for a while...i had to fork out 1200 bucks for a tooth and trust me its your bestbet man. I understand when your low on money it sucks but its take or let it rot your mouth into nothing.

see if you qualify for Medicaid. Or put it on your credit card. call around for someone who takes payment plans.

The prices he gave you seem way over the top. I would call around and ask for pricing for a tooth extraction. Where in your mouth is the tooth? If it is a wisdom, then you may need to see an oral surgeon. But most general dentists can extract wisdom teeth as well, as long as the tooth is not growing in sideways. As for the money, most dentists will not accept payment plans, escpecially for a new patient. Maybe you can put the cost on a credit card? Some dentists offer financing through a third party medical/dental loan. Good luck, and make sure to check around.

Try going to your local Health Department. Many times they will offer great discounts. Or, if there is a college in town that has dentist majors - they'll do work for free many times. Hope you feel better.

Tell your dentist the situation you are in & see if you can work out a payment plan. If he/she is a decent doctor, who cares about their patients perhaps you can pay over time. A good bet would be to go to a dentist of a relative or close friend who can vouch for you. I was referred to my current dentist in just that manner - through a relative of my sister-in-law. If you get declined by the first doctor's office, keep calling - there are several dentists in the Yellow Pages. Good luck!

find a western dental near you. I went there and they have a plan of pay so you dont fork out all the money at once.

Look around the area for a dental school. Call and see if they allow their students to do the deed. (all dentists start as students, don't be afraid.) Or call around and get quotes from other dentists, see if they'll do it probono, or with payment plan.I don't know how to get a medicaid card when your an adult that's not pregnant, but try and get a medical card through your state.Also, hold on to any medical bills you get. If it turns out to be more than...I don't remember the percentage, it's a tax right off. Oh, and speaking of taxes, if you filed your 2007 taxes, you might be receiving a stimulus check. Go to irs.gov to read about eligibility.good luck,And, I knew a dentist that worked at jail, he used to perform dental surgeries at home for extra money (with drugs and yes I know this is illegal) Call a jail and ask when the dentist comes. Don't ask him over the phone at the jail though, you'll get him in trouble or he'll surely say know.
