What courses do I need to take in grade 11 in order to study dental science?

I'm currently a grade 10 student in Canada (BC)..but we're doing course planning for grade 11 and I have no idea what to take! Am i supposed to take all 3 sciences to be a dentist? bio 11, chem 11 and physics 11?! thats one heck of a load for one year..is there anything else I can do? Is bio 11 even necessary? I can get into bio 12 without taking bio 11 but I'm scared I might need to take bio 11. What are my options? Thanks in advance

Of course, at this point, you are limited as to what sort of prerequisites you can fulfill to go into the dental science field. However, if you haven't taken Bio 11, I would suggest you take that before taking Bio 12 because, as with any other subject, the basic foundations are absolutely imperative to help you formulate the necessary background you will need when entering as a premed student. With going into the premed field, you should take as many rigorous courses, science or not, but it is just highly suggested that you take as many sciences as you can. If your school offers any sort of human anatomy and physiology classes, you should most definitely take that. I have taken that course, and it will most definitely help me when I go premed. In such courses, it would be important for you to know nerves of the face and also the simple basic bodily functions.
So, in short, there is not absolute prerequisite for a dentist, but it is highly suggested that you take as many sciences that you CAN. And by CAN they mean that if you take the class, can you pull a decent grade.
However, sciences aren't the only things you should focus on. Take other high calibre courses because what schools will look for is not only how strong is your science background, but also how well-rounded you are and if you would be a hearty addition to their school.

I'm sorry that I just ranted, but I really do hope that helps. If you want any more advice, feel free to ask again! ^^
