what are the bad effects of wearing dental grillz. like many rappers do.?

i am planning to buy a pair of grillz to ice out my mouth. but i need to know if there will be any bad effects of using them to my health. like any problems to my teeth or gums.

I think it depends on the material....some releases bad chemicals and some don't but metals probably will and they make your teeth look studded and caked with a layer of limestone which is disgusting
