What does "repos" mean when speaking of dental braces?

I have had my braces for a while but I have an appointment to get "repos". I have a slight idea of what that might mean but I wanted to know exactly what this was and what it does in accordance to the braces.

Yeah that means you have not paid your dental bill and when you go to the dentist they will take them off your teeth or repo them. . .

It means you need to have them checked and
possibly repositioned, as necessary.
