can diabetes affect your mind? Cause depressed thoughts and all?

I have had some heavy issues going on that started around the time that I had some sugar issues, or I think Idid, and hormone issues, but no one has ever done a complete workup. I have a doctor's appt. in two weeks, hoping I don't go crazy before then. I am on synthroid and an antidepressant, so maybe that will help until then.
I don't want to be on the antidepressant. I can't get anyone to take me seriously . I think I might be diabetic or hypo... How do I make it until I have the appt? It is the earliest I can get in?
i am controlling self through reading Bible and praying. sorry for bugging everyone. this is all new to me... i just think mine is caused by hormones, depression and grief...

Diabetes can affect your mind and vice versa, as well.

Obviously when your body is not performing optimally physically, your mind gets affected. It's the body-mind-spirit balance that you need to strive for.

Look for ways to de-stress and relax, as well as natural ways to treat depression. Yoga and meditation also helps. Excessive intake of medications only makes things worse.

Absolutely. I've been piecing the puzzle together from five years ago when I first became depressed. Coincidentally, I was diagnosed with type two diabetes within a few months of becoming depressed. Since learning how to take care of myself through diet and exercise, I've managed to completely rid myself of both diseases.
