I need an answer as soon as possible about type 2 diabetes is 270 too high?

I need to know , i don't know the scale or if its okay for my mom to go to sleep, she left work today and she never leaves work said her head is woozy. Do I need to drive down to her house I am like an hour away. I am scared don't know what to do? Is it possible that she will slip into a diabetic coma?
she doesnt want me to come down, and she wont go to the doctor, she is sleeping right now.

I don't want to scare you but she does need to be careful. It sounds like her blood sugar went to low. When a person is used to high blood sugar is feels bad when it goes too low. I almost passed out at work once but I was cleaning in an emergency ward so I wasn't too afraid. I did stop driving though when I felt this way. The hospital would not let me stop take an afternoon break so I started to just grab grahmcrackers & eat them in the afternoon. You mom has to be careful I would think it is something she can manage but no one really knows for sure. You can email me with you regualar email if you want more support just write in the email some details so I will remember.

Yes, 270 is too high, but it's not to the dangerous point. Perhaps she needs to have her meds adjusted or watch her diet more closely. I just got new reading guide line from a class I was at recently.

Fasting blood sugar

110 excellent
140 acceptable
180 fair
Blood sugar 2 hr after meal

140 excellent
180 acceptable
235 fair.
These are readings for a person that has diabetes....not to be confused with readings for a non- diabetic which are actually different.

270 is too high. I believe 120 is the norm. I would get her checked out.
