Is this diabetes blood or what?

My little brother recently came from school and told me his friend gave him a bottle of fake blood. He showed it to me and I quickly took away from him so he won't cause trouble in school or in the house.Then later I searched up some info about the bottle and found out that it has something to do with Diabetes Blood. The bottle is called "One Touch Ultra Control Solution" So I'm wondering is the red liquid that is in the bottle blood? Or what is it? If it is, how can if affect me if it made contact with my skin?

its just a liquid with sugar in that calibrates the meters. can't hurt you.

and you can't get diabetes from blood.

No it's not blood... it's simply a liquid which is used to calibrate the blood-sugar meters for diabetics.

Very doubtful that it is blood. If it is and you don't have any open wound on the skin it came in contact with than there is no worries. Some of those solutions which are used for quality control are colored, that is probably what it is.
