Gestational Diabetes?

Has anyone here ever had a high blood sugar level screening and then passed the hour test without any further complications? My wife today got a call to schedule the the 3 hour oral test because her blood level was 175. She was tested at about 3:15 in the afternoon. She had artichoke ravioli for lunch at 12 and an apple at about 1:30 before the test. Could this be the reason it was so high or should we be worried? Any expert/previous experience advice would be great!
Thank you guys so much already. I have been trying to play "cool" for her and comfort her telling her it is no big deal, but deep down inside I have been freaking out for her safety and the baby.
