| could i develop diabetes ? here was the question i asked earlier : as well as ptsd and bpd, i have some physical health worries wanting to be investigated that are causing me a great deal of anxiety.. im 30 now . i have frequent urination problems, where im emptying my bladder every half hour day and night - ive been refered to a urologist. i have torn ankle ligaments in my left ankle, i cant walk on it properley, and have to watch how i walk on it- i need surgery on it - ive been refered to surgeons. ive had lower back pain for a while that ive ignored, its constistent & not going away. weak aching limbs and joints, but my diabetes test came back clear. ive had more recent symptoms which are pains in my kidney areas - and pains in my scrotum. ive been refered to a dermatologist because i have cracked skin covering the head of my penis. ive had a letter back recentley from my doctor regarding my back here it is : '' dear mr desert, i have received the results of your lumbar spine x ray and iam pleased to report this showed no significant abnormality. There was a slight curve ( scoliosis ) to the left in the lumbar spine with associated mild wear and tear changes. there was no significant arthritic changes. this is very reassuring. kind regards dr ''. i felt quite worried about this, should i be ? im also 6ft, im overweight and trying to diet, i sometimes get shooting pains down my left leg to and pins and needles in my arms and legs - like a numbness. all these worries are causing me great anxiety what do i do ? here was one answer that worried me : '' interesting and very worrying 1/constant urination/diarrhoea requires you keep up your liquid intake and replenishment of electrolyte salts if not you may suffer from cracking skin, kidney or other vital organ discomfort and urethra problems which may in turn lead to diabetes 2/support your ankle ie cast/bandages and keep off it or use a walking stick/crutch if not you may suffer spinal, back pain and lower joint and muscle pains ie side, hip, knee and ankles hope this helps, good luck. | Well being overweight is one of the biggest reasons for developing class 2 diabetes. So watch your diet and eat sensibly, lose weight if you Can. Not only the diabetes risk. but a lot of your other physical problems will benefit from weight loss. OK a lot of your problems are treatable. The numbness and tingling are probably due to pressure on a nerve in neck or back....Maybe it is just a case of a good diet, not eat too much and a bit of gentle exercise to strengthen your muscles. Don't worry too much though. Worry will make it all worse. |

| yes anyone can develop a form of diabetes by living an unhealthy lifestyle i.e. being over weight, not exercising enough and eating unhealth foods consistantly most of ur problems i think would not really contribute to diabetes i.e. sore ankle, back and penis |
