I was just diagnosed as gestational diabetes I am 33 weeks.?

I feel like so nervous that my baby is not going to be okay. Please whoever has had it and delivered a healthy baby please respond. also i feel like what if there is damage done already because its kind of late in my preg for the diagnosis. I had a test done around 26 weeks and it was neg, but my doc was saying that my baby is big and my belly looks big so he sent me for another and my sugar was 213 after drinking the glucola drink and i didn't eat anything before i drank that either. I can't imagine what my sugars have been because i have been eating ice cream alot and i have been on bedrest for incompetent cervix since 20 weeks. Please I just need a little reassurance and support thanks in advance.

You will be A OK, well you should be.. dont worry the doc wont let anything happen to the baby or you. You will probably just have a larger baby... ouch! GL
