jonas love ? has a spectacular aura about
Do I have diabetes :(?

ok well I am 12 years old ( 13 in like 1 month) and I think I might have diabetes. I am usually always almost thirsty even after I drink something and am hungrey alot. I am about like 105 pounds but i guess I dont have regular excersize but I do have a regualr diet. And also sometimes just when I'm walking or something I get "hot flash's" i guess I'll call them cuz idk what they are really called lol and my vision gets like really blurry and I feel like im going to pass out and this happens regularly. I was also tested for diabetes when I was about like 1 because my mom was worried but it came out negative so I dont know if that will help or not.
oh yeah I forgot to add this but I also got to the bathroom like every hour too or sometimes less if that counts for anything.
oh yeah I also forgot something again lol. my grandpa and my great uncle both had diabetes too but they are both passed away.

Does it run in your family? You're pretty young and a healthy weight. But I'd get your blood checked for things like blood sugar, and thyroid, etc.

See the doctor. Keep a food diary and record when it happens. This will help the doctor in diagnosing the problem.

Good luck!

It wouldn't hurt to have your doctor run some bloodwork on you like a fasting blood sugar, a Hemoglobin A1C and a thyroid panel. A lot of it could be what you eat too. Sugary foods and carby foods (pastas, rice, breads, crackers, potatos, etc) will cause a sharp rise in your blood sugar and then a crash afterwards which makes you feel crappy. Also try to have 4-6 small meals a day rather than 3 meals or even 2. It could be that you're just robbing your body of it's natural sugars. eat more protein - it takes longer to break down so it gives more even energy throughout the day and not the yo-yo affect that carbs can give. Good luck!
