Can an 18 year old get Type 1 Diabetes if he has hasn't experienced any of the

symptoms in his childhood? both of my parents are non-diabetic

never had type 1 diabetes through childhood (i am 18 now)

i have an overactive bladder

my blood sugar is 112 after non fasting

just recently had an overactive bladder 2 weeks ago.

My husband was adopted and as an adult, he got diabetes Type 1 which is insulin dependant. He doesn't feel he will live past 55 and is only 38 years of age. He got it when he was 21.

I was talking to a pharmacist yesterday that said his son wsa found to be a type one diabectic at 17 years old.. so I would say a 18 year old could too...
my 8 year old is type one and no one else has ever had it..
