If I eat a lot of sugar am I increasing my chances for gestantional

diabetes? 22 weeks =)? Does anyone know any statistics of how many mothers get diabetes when pregnant?
And does my mother having diabetes increase my risk? She had type 2 diabetes but I don't know if she had it when she was pregnant.
