Difference between hyperglycemia and diabetes?

I'm 24 yrs old and not overweight. Recently after drink sweet soft drinks or eating very sweet foods I have been feeling dizzy and nauseous. I have always felt nauseous after eating sweet foods ever since I was young so I dont really like eating them. But I dont normally have dizziness. Could I have diabetes?

Hyperglycemia is high blood sugar, as is diabetes. Feelings of nausea and dizziness are a sign of hyPOglycemia, which is low blood sugar. When you have reactive hypoglycemia, your body produces too much insulin after eating foods high in carbs. The result is low blood sugar.

Ask for a glucose tolerance test if you would like to find out if you have either.
