Signs of Diabetes?

Sometimes when I eat sugar snacks I get a jittery type feeling afterward. Usually within 30 minutes. I can eat things like snickers bars, drink soda, and cake. What usually gets me is Ice Cream (more then say one scoup).

Then if I don't eat I get really agitated and extremely snappy. Some times I get to the point were I simply look at my significant other in almost a cave man like vision and say "I need to eat". Then I feel better after.

I have simply learned to eat healthier and stay away from larger quantities of foods I love that I know cause problems and I'm fine.

This has probably been going on for about 5 years now but I've only really realized what types of foods cause it in the last 3 years.

Is this a sign of diabetes or something else?
