i have type 2 diabetes?

i have had type2,diabetes, the last few days mouth has been really dry and all i can taste is salt is this normal for diabetes?

I have been a diabetic for 8 years and I have never experienced that. Which doesn't mean it isn't part of it. I have found that everyone's body makeup is different and we have different symptons. If in doubt about what it is, call your doctor.

never heard the salt taste, but the dry mouth is a symptom
maybe you are low on sodium intake
see your doctor

i have diabetes, i used to get a dry mouth when i was taking tablets. check your sugar levels as this is normally a sign of dehydration due to high blood sugar.Otherwise it could just be a side effect of the tablets

I also get dry mouth. I have been on Metformin 500gm twice a day for just 1 month. I wake up with a bad taste in my mouth.
I asked my doc about it. He said it has something to do with the med. I also been getting alot of headaches. My doc said to give it sometime. I will go away. Good luck.
