If you feel nauseous and dizzy after the glucose test, does that likely...

...mean you have gestational diabetes? I took it 2day and when i drank the ornage soda which wasnt half as bad as other ppl told me it was, I started to get nauseous and dizzy and shaky feeling after. Is that a normal reaction or does it indicate I might have gestational diabetes?
no morgan a they wouldnt have known because they drew blood from an hour after they took the test

Very normal cause of the high sugar volume and also the fact you would have had to fast after 12AM....and Morgan A is right they are suppose to do a glucose test which is a pin prick to the finger (mostly) which every diabetic must endure, unless however you had a high number (over 140) and they sent you for additional testing which they draw blood from vein - if this is the case then you most likely have it....The doctor should have discussed this all with you!!!!! Good Luck - I had GD when I was pregnant with my daughter, it went away as soon as I had her....

I know that it is reassuring to read the above answers, but the short of it is this: You're going to have to wait for the results. I have had G.D. with all three of my pregnancies, and with each G.D. test I took, I experienced the same symptoms you did.
Also, if you look at the symptoms of diabetes: dizziness, nausea, and shakiness, you can kind of equate them with pregnancy all together.
So, don't stress yourself. If you do have G.D., your doctor will walk you through what to do next. Sometimes it may be as simple as monitoring your diet closely, or as much as taking daily insulin injections (at the end of my last pregnancy I had over 100 units of insulin injections a day). Either way, don't worry. Stress is bad for the baby.

No, my test came back fine, but it make me nauseous and dizzy too. I planned on going shopping until it was time for me to go back, but I ended up just going out to the car and laying down.

I couldn't eat anything for hours before the test, then I drank the sugar, and it made me shaky and nauseous. I was still negative for gestational diabetes. Also if you fail the first test there is another longer test you have to take to rule out ges. diabetes.
