What are my chances in getting diabetes if no one in my family never had it?

I am a bit over weight, and I gain more weight in my mid section more than anything. Should I be concern, since I am about to eat a nice greasy pizza all by myself? Oh yeah, I just ate some nachos too. This is not a joke. This is the first thing I am eating today, but of course it is not the best food for nutrition.
