Just diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes...anyone else ever have it?

Just diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes...anyone else ever have it?

I was just told that I have Gestational Diabetes two days ago. I haven't had a chance to go to my Dr. yet and I'm going crazy because I don't know much about it. I'm very scared and getting really stressed over things. Has anyone ever had it? If so how was it handled and what do you need to do? I've looked a few things up on the internet an it basically said to go on a low carb diet. Is this true? Any information possible would be great. Thanks

Passing blood sugar should be 130 mine was 221 (not so good)
