| Pre-Diabetes? I was told by my dr that I am pre- diabetic, my Glucose fasting leves after a 112 hour fast was 114, My dr told me to cut out all grains, all meats and all dairy and only eat fruits and salads...Will all the sugar in fresh fruits make my sugar worse? Also can I add croutons and a salad dressing to my salad? If so which type would be the best? Since I cant drink anything with sugar in it besides water what else is there that actually tastes good? OOOPS thats a 12 hour fast not a 112 hour fast LOL      |

| You don't have to cut out all meats and grains. What kind of doctor did you go to? You need grains for fiber, meats for protein, and some dairy for calcium. Don't eat stuff high in fat . Eat lean cuts of meat. Eating fruits will make your blood sugar go up. You can drink things that have sugar substitutes, diet stuff. Your readings were not high. I don't get it. I think I would go to a different doctor. |
