Wow this is strange i just wrote a midterm on diabetes yesterday. From what i have learnt it is a very serious condition. balance of blood glucose level is very important since it is a very important nutrient inour body. I would suggest you take some precautions because it might not be ood if it happens agan. In Canada, during the fasting state your blood glucose level is between 4-5mmol/L. After eating it should not be more than 11mmol/L.

yes,my wife is diabetic and i know much about it.My wife was once at 14 and that is so very close to a diabetic coma. Check your blood sugar often and also it helps to have some one help you watch it. It may seem like they are hounding you but trust me, its just love. blood sugar dropping in your sleep is very scary so before bed time make sure your blood sugar is just higher than 100 so you dont drop to dangerous low leavels. God bless you and you are in my prayers.

8 mg/dL??? You would be dead with that. 60 mg/dL is considered low and can start to affect your brain function. 40 mg/dL is where you act drunk. Lower = coma. Maybe a bad test strip or tester/strip combination but if it truly was 8, you're lucky!!!!

if you had an 8 blood sugar....more than likely you would be dead. and if you had been in a diabetic coma then you would still be in the hospital.....you dont go into comas and come out "that" fast....more than likely you just passed out due to low blood sugar and once they got your blood sugar back up you woke up. not a coma. good luck.
