Do I need to see a high risk OB GYN if I have gestational diabetes?

Do I need to see a high risk OB GYN if I have gestational diabetes?

My first test for gestational diabetes came back positive, and now I have to go in for another test. If it does test positive for gestational diabetes, should I change from the general practitioner I have been seeing to an OB GYN who has dealt with this before? I am 29 weeks along and have had no other complications to this point.
