Am I at risk for diabetes?

I recently had a physical, and they said I have an excess amount of sugar in my urine. The doctor said I might have diabetes.
My grandfather has type 2 diabetes. I'm 26, 6'1, 200lbs. I smoke and I drink moderately, 2-3 drinks a day, but sometimes more on the weekends. I don't eat sugary foods very often, but I do eat fast food regularly.
What is the likelihood that I have it?
I'm not often thirsty, nor do I pee a lot... I looked up the symptoms, and I don't have any of them.

You could be at risk. Eating out regularly is not good. If you need to eat fast food, at least make sure you are ordering things that are better for you ie. grilled chicken vs fried or a burger. Also, make sure you are getting plenty of exercise. Having a family history of diabetes does increase your risk. Follow up with your doctor and have your blood glucose level checked.

Very likely. First of all, take out food is very fatty. Fat turns into sugar, which causes diabetes if you are insulin resistant. Sugar in the urine is not good and can signal kidney problems. Alcohol also turns into sugar in our bodies. If your doc says you MIGHT have Diabetes, go to another doc who will diagnose if you do or not. There is no "might", you have it or you don't!! Also, if you are always thirsty and pee a lot, these are major symptoms. Please have more tests done, and in my opinion, change doctors.
