...good conditon though. Also, it has eaten the nerves in her middle finger. How serious is this and what are the chances it will spread? Is there a way to prevent it from spreading and will her heel and middle finger ever heal?

The first answer is correct! She MUST keep her sugar undercontrol to prevent more damage to the nerves! The other side effects are very harmfull to the body as well. If you do not know what these are go online on the web and it will tell you!! Take care of it and she will be ok. I am type 2 for 15 years. 72 years young!!
