White Wine and Dieting??

So just yesterday I put myself on a diet. Nothing specific really, mostly the kind where I just don't eat so many fattening, greasy, unhealthy foods, and instead eat things that are low in calories and fat grams, but high in protein and vitamins. Plus do something everyday that exercises my body. An example like walking down and up my street (which is a steep hill) or playing DDR on my gamecube.

I love white wine, specially savignon blanc and pinot grigio. The bottles don't say what kind of calorie content they have. I'm wondering if it would have any negative side effects on me trying to lose weight?
