| Is eating 1200 calories a day to little? Will my body go into starvation mode? I am 16 years old, a girl. 5feet 10inches and I weigh 150 pounds... if i eat 1200 calories a day(give or take a little) will my body go into starvation mode? Will this screw up my diet? If so.. then how many calories should I be having each day?      |

| You are probably not eating enough for your age, however are you trying to lose weight? People on the jenny craig diet eat around 1200 calories a day, however you need to factor in your age and exercise regime... I would say a few hundred more if you are trying to lose weight. |
