How do you get it across to someone that weight loss and fitness is based on...

...complete lifestyle change? My friend got a personal trainer because she thought it would change her life and jump start her losing weight and geting HOT!

I try to suggest doing something she will really like-kick boxing or masters swim team are good ones, cycling club. It is a surer way of staying with a program for years in my opinion.

My friend is upset about the fact that she has not lost any weight though seeing a trainer. She keeps eating taco bell and other fast foods, cheesy nachos, etc. I don't know who to help her visualize a diet change because she thinks fast food is the only option because she works 12 hour days.

She wants my help but she feels hopeless. She thinks the food I eat is bland and boring because it has no sugar or cheese or butter. I is mostly vegetarian She is more of a meat and potatoes person. Any suggestions for getting someone inspired to improve their diet-even if a little? Should I tell her to focus on diet first?
