u wont gain a poiund.. a poiund is 3600 caloris.. and even if u dont actualy go to a gym and excersice , every movement u make, u burn calories... so by the end of the day u wont have 3000 calories in ur body... but if u keep this up u will gain weight super fast because even if u end up with 500 calories in the end of the day.. those 500 calories will add up and in 6 days ull gain taht one pound

Its all anout calories in vs. calories out. If you eat 3000 calories but burn 2000 calories through exercise and your regular resting metabolic rate, you will gain weight because your over the caloric intake. If you burn the same as you eat, you will maintain. If you eat less than you burn, you will lose weight. Think of it as a personal bank account if you spend more than you earn you will go broke. If you earn more than you spend you will be at a surplus. And if you take in the same amount you spend you will always break even.
