NYCstar has a spectacular aura about
Dieting and *cough* that time of the month....?

Okay ladies...
You know when its the time of the month & you crave cookies & donuts & chocolate & sooo bad for you carbs - but you are trying to stay fit & diet - is it okay? I have heard that it won't affect you if you have one more brownie...is this true? All I crave when I am on especially the 1st day of my period is sweets. Sometimes, I will eat a donut and thats my meal. I do not eat much but what I will end up eating is the jumbo cookie. Or maybe 2 cookies...and thats all for the day. How will this affect my weight? Should I just say no and go back to salads & healthy food like any regular non-period day?

I am not one to answer this question! haha. I feel that as long as you are eating healthy (making sure you get in your whole grains, fruit, veggies, dairy, protein)...go ahead and eat that brownie. But try to eat half of it.

Yoga and exercise really helps with cramping and mood swings! lol
And if you are craving chocolate trying eating some sugar free pudding, or half of a dove dark chocolate bar!

Good luck!

OH BTW. It will affect your weight. If you are eating things with lots of carbs, sodium, you will retain water. Especially during that time of month. Make sure you drink PLENTY of water, and you should be A-OK!
