| The people on diet & fitness weren't any help, do you think you could help
me figuring this out please? So today (without dinner) I consumed 457 calories and 90 carbs. It takes my body 1200 calories a day to do bodily functions (digest food, etc.) and I burned 800 in various activities according to http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cb... That would leave me with 1543 calories burned extra. Obviously I know this wouldn't cause any weight loss, this is my first day on this diet. But I read it takes burning 3500 more calories burned than consumed to lose one pound. I am confuzed, is my logic way off? This is embarassing because my math skills or logic may be lacking =/ Thanks, but I am trying to lose quite a bit of weight hahah, so I have to closely watch everything I eat now. So this site http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc said that doing various activities I burned 800 calories, just by studying, walking, shooting hoops that kind of thing. and since I am 16 120 lbs 5'5" it takes my body 1200 calories to just function, according to a question I posted earlier on the health board. I am nto sure if all that is right though.. |

I agree, off with the math! Couting calories gets you NOWHERE, trust me. Exercise. At least 5 times a week and just eat healthy. People make such big deals about this kind of stuff. It isn't rocket science. I'm sure any average person could sit down in a restaurant or look in their refrigerator and tell what's healthy and what's not. Don't overthink it, that's many peoples mistake. |
