How could I lose weight, and then build muscle in a year. give me diets,

exercises, and anything that helps.? I weight 250 lbs., overweight... 6'3

honest to goodness, this is what helped me: eat right, do yoga, pilates, run and take hikes plus drink protien shakes for breakfast and after workouts

Best book for me was a book called body for life by bill Phillips. It details every workout and every meal. Can see similar results to what is in book in 90 days. I was about your weight and same height when I did this program and it worked. Good luck.
