| What is the minimum number of calories I should have per day to lose weight? I'm a 5'6 male with a weight around 155 lbs that is looking to lose weight healthily. I'm currently eating 5-6 meals a day with about 300 calories each, so my daily total comes in around 1400 to 2000 calories a day. I never feel like I'm starving myself. I also weight train 3 times a week and do cardio 3-4 times a week as well, so I'm losing some calories there as well. Is the lower threshold of my daily intake (1400-1600 calories/day) too low? Will my metabolism slow down? Or is the 5-6 small meals a day totaling about 1500 a day ok? Thanks! |
