Cutting Calories?

Ok so I heard that you cannot just cut calories to lose weight because of a dietary plane where your body stops burning calories or something like that. Im wondering if i cut my calories and excersise will i still even out and not burn fat? Or since im still exercising my body wont stop burning calories.

just some tips are apreciated. I cut calories and excersize, id guess i ingest anywhere from 1000-1500 daily and exercise for about an hour.

look up how many calories and amounts of foods per day from mypyramid.gov
then try to cut out all other discretionary calories, but keep low fat proteins, fruits and vegetables as your main foods. also choose good grains

if you eat a small healthy meal every 3 or 4 hours and get some exercising you will lose weight. You can not starve yourself or your body will slow its metabolism to protect itself.
