| is 800 - 900 calories of food a day alright??
i'm 20 years old, i'm pretty small, and i have never really eaten a lot (i dont really like food) and now i'm living on my own and it recently occurred to me that i probably only get 800-900 calories per day... i eat pretty healthy (love chef salads and fruit), my only vice is coffee.... its been like that my whole life and has never been a problem but its likely okay right? |

you should be eating AT LEAST 1400 cals a day for your body to be getting the proper nutrients it needs to survive. i would even suggest 1800, but since you say you don't *like* food that much ... who DOESN'T LIKE FOOD?!?!!? ... then i would suggest at least 1400, even if it is from more fruits and veggies. remember you need meat in your diet too to get the proper iron and protein your body needs.
