| Is this a good toning up/general fitness routine? I'm a 19 year old male, 5'11, 60kg, and would like to get fitter. I'd also like to build some muscle on my arms and lose some fat from my thighs and butt. I've just quit smoking. I usually drink just once a week (although quite heavily). I eat 3 meals a day- no desserts, sodas, or fast food- but I don't skimp on wholesome foods that I enjoy.
4 days of walking at a moderately fast pace for 35 minutes.
- only a little sweating towards the end.
1 or 2 days of alternating between walking at a very fast pace and jogging on a treadmill, 5 minutes each, for 35 minutes. This is quite intensive and makes me sweat a lot.
1 or 2 days of swimming. This is a real workout for me, and I can only manage about 15-20 minutes.
Each day I do around 40 abdo crunches, 40 squats for the thighs, and 40 butt exercises (dont know what they are called). |
