I agree with the second answer, also doing this over a long period of time will make you body hold fat when you begin to introduce more fat to it!

you absolutely only need 15 grams of fat a day. ive been on a fat free diet for maybe 4years. i lost alot of weight and felt healthier. i read studies and they said all human bodies really need a day is 20 grams. as long as u are eating healthy foods u are being not only safe, but smart!

Daily intake of total fat for the body is 65g . That is recommended daily allowance of total fat based on 2000 calorie is less than 65 g . So i think if you are overweight then yes. you can definately go for fat free diet.but atleast we need to makesure that minimum 8% of this RDA that is 5.2 g of total fat is available on daily basis. Then definately the stored fat also will be used for energy also the needed fat daily for metabolism can be available. that is the way we can reduce stored fat and stop adding excess fat in your body.
Oh. yes you have mentioned eating 5 g .then i would say you are on right track.
