Is God a dictator?

God cursed every one to die ....Death was the punishment for man's disobedience -- Gen 3:19Obviously if you don't follow the dictator he takes you behind the chemical shed and shoots you. You know like Evey? You don't follow the rules God takes you behind the chemical shed and shoots you. Simple as that. But God knows that if he sends you through shock therapy that you will turn. So the question is does God care about our opinion? I mean if he does then why does he send us to Hell for our individuality like atheism or homosexuality? Why does he torture the people of the Old Testament and the people of modern day society with diseases for their individuality?? I am so confused! Why did God give us the gift of free will if he is merely going to kill us for using it? Please explain.

It's like this, do you have any little kids?, if not check this: "say you have a small child, Oh, about 4 yrs old, now, your having a bar b Q and you tell him don't get close to the bar b Q, or you'll burn yourself, all your doing is what is best for him right?, you've warned him, you've even tried to make sure he really gets the message because your other little one is crying inside the house, you've now got your hands full and theres no where to put down what's in your hands except once you get in the house, now if the little 4 year old disobeys you and touches the bar b Q he's going to get burned Right?, well that's like what God did, He told Adam and Eve not to eat of the fruit, but they disobeyed and got burned.Your first business should be to get yourself saved by accepting Jesus and saying the sinners prayer.http://chick.com/reading/tracts/0096/0096_01.asp

God is not a dictator....He is the Creator.I am fairly certain...you have more clarity on this issue than even you believe.Is it so hard to believe that the Creator..would create a race of beings...and not set rules or regs in place for the good of society? That is exactly what He did...The free will given to man...is just that...Man has the freedom to follow the regs or not to follow the regs....God sends no one to hell.....people send themselves.

Gluttony causes death because fatty deposits build up in the arteries eventually causing a heart attack or stroke.Promiscuity causes suffering because it leads to sexually transmitted diseases and infections.Lying is destructive and messes with peoples' emotions.Stealing hurts the economy, makes everybody paranoid and overprotective and breaks down society's collective level of trust.From a medical or a sociological standpoint the effect of these actions is pretty transparent. Theology would rather label these things as being sinful and leading to death and eternal torment. It's counter-intuitive approach to correcting personal and social problems involves surrendering your life to a magical deity in the sky. The glutton must pray for a stronger will rather than eat a healthier diet and hire a personal trainer. Thieves are supposed to fear a vengeful deity who can see everything and will punish them in the afterlife for stealing. Men who don't follow tradition and marry a woman are going to be plagued in life and burn in Hell forever when they die.Religion is bogus. Wake up and smell the atheism.

I've been reading this book, which specifically covers a lot of dictators. It seems that it was more than just "Taking somebody & shooting him in the neck" (Which they really did...) They seem also very effective in taking God away from their people. Tactics like holding anti-religious parades during religous festivals, or even arresting and deporting thier ministers, nuns, and monks, to "work camps" or gulags. (Which, again, this is what they did.) I really don't think that God is any such dictator like Stalin, Lennin, Mao, Hitler, etc...)

The fictional character called God is quite possibly the worst character in all of fiction so I'll have to say yes.Still, he is "in your face" as Homer Simpson would say.
