| i need suggestions on wacom/aiptek tablets for drawing illustrations?
My dad bought me one as a gift. I have been in need of one but blew my budget on a scanner and am saving up for a new computer. Yes, i am starting from scratch. He bought me an Aiptek slim tablet. There is NOTHING about these tablets online. I dont think i need one this large. I was wondering what are the tablets you all suggest for use with photoshop and illustrator for basic cartooning and photo editing. I am also a beginner fyi. This tablet sold for 130. so i either have this one..or 130 in credit to return at fry's. Also, the father admits that he would understand if i exchange it because he has no clue. haha. Any help is appreciated.

If you're a beginner and don't really care about having a large and pricey tablet for pros, then I recommend the line of beginner Wacoms. Graphires are what's usually recommended, but they're on their way out and are being slowly replaced by the Bamboo line. You can get a Wacom Bamboo for under 100$ (I got mine for less); there's also a slightly pricier model called Bamboo Fun, though I dunno its specs, but you can find tons of info on these models online.
