Looking for the name of a program, a man who would narrate books while drawing illustrations.?

I remember seeing the show in grade school (late 70's, early 80's)where they would play it for the class. I think the man had a mustache. You would hear him narrate a book, while watching him illustrate several passages using charcoal, I think, and some color. This is how I was introduced to the book Bridge to Terabithia, but I'm sure I saw him do other books too. I'd love to have a name to put to the show, does anyone else remember this?It definitely wasn't Reading Rainbow, as I used to watch that too. I know he was caucasian, with brown or black hair and a mustache, and the whole show was him doing drawings from whatever section he was reading in a voice over, possibly pastels. Thanks for the try, though.

I remember that program, but don't remember the name. I was just thinking of that show the other day. Weird. I remember him drawing a book about Boxcar Children. Good luck on your search, sorry I couldn't provide an actual answer.
