Help with dream interpretation?

I was in a dressing room, apparently prepraring for a kabuki show. I was getting very frustrated because I could not get the white make up even, and my face was too flush/red, and not white enough.
Any idea what this could mean or relate to? I'm an 23 year old american woman, and have never seen or performed kabuki.
In june I have a test coming up, an exam for my career to gain my registry. The repercussions for not passing are a bit stressful..

It could mean that your worried about a new situation and you dont know if you'll be able to do your best.

The kabuki show probably represents an important undertaking in your life such as a career or new job. Your frustration with the make up represents your angst about the job and your feelings that you are not fully prepared.

Any chance that you work as a street mime? (just asking!)

Or.... it could be merely an entertaining and random dream.
