Disturbing Dream Interpretation?

I had a dream last night that I was at the funeral of one of my close friends. I was crying very hard and I didn't know how he had died, so I kept asking people, but no one had an answer. Finally the priest stood before his grave and started talking. I don't remember much of what he said, except for how my friend died - he said that he "drown in his own tears inside of a small pine box". I woke up sweating and pretty freaked out. Any thoughts?

when it comes to figuring out what dreams mean you can't pay too much attention to specific things that are said. Like this for sure doesn't mean that your friend is going to drown in a box or that you are worried about this happening. The best way I would interpret this is that you feel like (in real life) you are feeling distaned form this friend. Maybe your friendship isn't as close as it used to be, or maybe it is going just as strong but for some reason your afraid something is going to come between the two of you. Then, on the other hand, you friend in the dream could simply just represent something or someone that means a lot to you, and it is that object or person that you are worried is slipping away. The fact that you asked everyone there for an answer and no one would tell you anything makes it seem like you feel helpless to stop this from happening. Hope this helps? =)

I've heard dreams like that interpreted several ways:

1. Dreams about death depict new life (believe it or not).
2. You're concerned about losing something dear to you.
3. Subconsciously you're realizing that a friendship with someone close (not necessarily that friend) is waning and it's time to move on. It's your mind's way of helping you sever ties.

Normally what I will do is, go to one of the dream interpreter website and read out what some of the things symbolize before slowly piecing them together.

Funeral - To dream that you are at somebody else's funeral, signifies that you are burying an old relationship and closing the lid on the past. You may be letting go some of the feelings (resentment, anger, hostility toward someone) that you've been clinging onto.

Death-To dream about the death of a loved one, suggests that you are lacking a certain aspect or quality that the loved one embodies. Ask yourself what makes this person special or what do you like about him. It is that very quality that you are lacking in your own relationship or circumstances. Alternatively, it indicates that whatever that person represents has no part in your own life.

Priest-To see a priest in your dream, signifies spiritual needs, regulation, religious belief and guidance. It also symbolizes chastity and abstinence. You may view sexuality as immoral.
