Dream Interpretation? Help with symbols in dream?

I have been Saved 41/2 years, and God has been ministering to me through dreams. Most I get the understanding much later on. There is one which He has been giving to me pretty regularly for about 3 1/2 years. I have prayed about it over and over. It's like there is something that I am just not seeing.

I am at work at a waitress. Which I am in real life. I am the only one there when all the sudden tables start coming in. I CANNOT GET TO THE TABLES!!! Everything starts going wrong. More people are coming in and alot of time is passing by. I'm very frustrated and worried because I know that by the time I get to them the customers will be mad. Finally, I get to them. I get their drink order, and take off to go get the drinks. As I'm at the machine more people are coming in. There is massive confusion concerning their drinks. I can't find my book, I'm knocking things over, you name it. I fill up one glass, sit it down and start on another. By the time I'm finished with it, the ice is melts
No matter what I do I cannot get the drinks back to the table. I have had this dream at least 50 times. And it's always the same thing. What do you guys think. I know that only The Holy Spirit can give me the understanding I need. I'm just hoping that God can use one of you great people to shine some light on something that I am not seeing. Peace!
It's something with the tables and the drinks. Sometimes I do actually get back to the table only to confuse the drinks or find out that it's not what the customer wanted. Crazy.

Wow. Interesting. Do you have a hectic life? Are you always trying to please others (other than at work of course)? I used to have a recurring dream for quite a few years.

I was in a bad place in my life and need help badly. I kept dreaming I was sitting in the grass next to Jesus' feet talking to Him. I could never see His face though in the dream.

When I would wake up, I could never remember what we talked about. I could only remember how peaceful and enjoyable it was sitting there talking with Him.

My guess is....it is the 'fear of failure' in front of others, or fear of 'embarrassment' because you didn't 'come through'. The fear that others will get mad....probably relates to you wanting to fulfill other people's needs in a way that is successful.......and this also involves that you don't want them to have the opportunity to JUDGE YOU, so you worry about being able to get EVERYTHING DONE PERFECTLY. It isn't their place to judge you, really, because only God knows the WHOLE TRUTH. It also could mean a 'fear of failing' your duties, however you see them......maybe even including to God, since you think this might have religious connotations. It is playing out in your dreams like this because you are a waitress in real life.

I think if anything God may be trying to tell you that you are wasting your effort being a waitress. You are spinning your wheels and getting nowhere. Get out of that profession and start doing something that will really help other people.
I have had dreams like that. When everything goes crazy and I can do nothing right and things get worse and worse. Those are the times I am stressed out the most and am feeling overwhelmed in my waking time. But since you have had this same dream for that long. I would think Gos is saying "get outta there". The tables are symbolic of your job and the fact you cannot get to those tables and everything is going wrong is meaning that you are frustated with the job..that there is no real beginning or end to this job...that although it is a lot of work and someone has to do it...that it doesn't really matter that it is you doing it.... You are getting no where with this job, in the mean time you are wasting precious time (the ice is melting) and you are missing out on opportunities (nothing is going right and you are knocking things over) You continue in this job to please other people not yourself (the people are mad) and your service really means very little in the scheem of things.( all your hard work is getting you no where, you are falling furthar behind) There is definitely something else you would rather be doing (don't look now but your ice is melting and your customers are angry) this job is lacking in the new found direction you have in your life (where is your book ?)

I believe it has something to do with the Scripture, that "righteousness is not eating and drinking, but peace in the Holy Spirit". Your customers are hungry and thirsty for righteousness, but you cannot fulfill this (each customer must go to the Source himself or herself, as you had to do when you searched and became born again). Therefore, you may do the best you can, and God will deliver you to your next assignment just in the nick of time (and you will have peace beyond understanding as promised).

I used to professionally interpret dreams in my metaphysical practice, and I will tell you what I would tell a client. The dream sounds as if you are under pressure, constant pressure. You want to be a servant to anyone who comes your way with a need. You can't fulfill everyone's needs, you have to sometimes learn when to turn some away. Sounds like you have a lot of people asking of you, wanting from you and needing from you. But it is getting harder and harder for you to keep up to the demand. I would take some time to ground yourself, take some time to smell the roses and appreciate the beauty that is in your own life and pay attention to your own needs for awhile. It is not being selfish to put yourself on the priorty list :-)
