Interpretations only please. No preaching that dreams don't mean anything..obviously that's not what I believe. The end of the world was coming and I was selected to be a part of a community that would be safe from danger. I was told to pick a few of my personal things to take with me. I went through my books on my bookcase and started sorting them out. I particularly went through my collection of children's books.Matthew, my ex-husband came in and suggested we go to the store. We went to a clothing store similar to Eddie Bauer. He helped me to pick some things out but I couldn't find anything that suited my style. I was getting very frustrated and was near giving up. I kept thinking about the fact that the stores were still open, people were working and people were shopping in spite of the eminent doom. I thought that maybe they were just acting like nothing was going to happen and was just going to continue their lives until the moment arrived.(more to come

I kept passing an evening gown. It was a beautiful sage green. Strapless. Plain in front but the back opened up to a burst of layered chiffon creating a bustle effect. The first few times I passed it I acknowledged its existence, but didn't spend much time on it. I passed it three times before I realized that I should just try it on, even though I had no reason to buy it. By this time my little brother had joined us.Matthew was off somewhere else with Ericc when I went to the dress and picked out the right size. There was quite a bit of thought put into getting the right size. All the sizes, very small to pretty large, were neatly organized and hanging up all together. I found a size 24 first then went down the line to sizes 14 and 16 and decided that the 16 would be the perfect fit. I took it to the changing rooms, which weren't all that private, but I didn't care. Matthew and Ericc came just as I pulled it up over my entire body.(more...)The bodice fit a little tight, but it looked really good on me. Matthew mentioned something about being ready to leave. I got back into my day clothes and left with him. On my way out I got a phone call from one of my first jobs: the security office at Broome Community College. They needed me to come there and talk about working some hours.Looking forward to getting back to some of my roots, I parked my car outside the first building in the only non-handicapped spot available. I knew I wouldn't get a ticket for my car not being registered because it was after a certain time. I wasn't sure where the security office was located, but as I walked in the doors to that same building, I found the office to be right there. The department was larger and there were more employees. I sat down waiting for my old boss, Sandy when someone walked by and recognized me. It was Matt Damon. I worked with him then and he was still there doing the same things. (more...)We talked for a little while but he was on the run. Then an old friend came by who was one of the few people I considered my friend in the art department when I attended classes at BCC. We talked for a bit, mostly about his new girlfriend, then he went on his way.The last thing that happened was I thought about how the end of the world didn't come when it was supposed to. I considered if it was never going to come, if there was another time it might come, or if I should perpetually expect it to some at any moment there after. When I woke up I thought about the dress and how it would be the style of dress I'd want to wear should I ever get married again.(That's it)
