| Interpretation of Dream with Scorpion?
Hi ya!The scorpion in your dream starts out very neutral. "Ehhh... it could hurt me, but maybe not... I don't know..."This would be some neutral issue that you're working on, actively or subconsciously. It grows larger, taking on more of your attention (or time and mental energy in your waking life) and you try to get a handle on it with a bottle. Seems like a reasonable thing to do--after all, it could go either way--friendly, or notsomuch. But you're finding this a little too much for this tactic (the jar represents some method you've tried lately) and it escapes, becoming a threat to yourself-- no longer neutral.A cat comes to your rescue-- which is super interesting. I've heard some folks say that a cat represents a woman in your life, but really I think it all depends on how you feel about cats or who you associate them with. It could be representing a defensive element in yourself--one with cat-like reflexes and agility, but I kinda doubt it since you grab the cat to protect it. So I would say that someone you're associating with as cat (which might have been easier for your brain than having that someone just show up in your dream) may have been running interference for you, but you're squaring your shoulders and not permiting it (or you're realizing that you need to protect this person and that you can handle the scorpion in your own way.)The fact that you're a Scorpio-- hmm- I'm NO astrologer, nor am I totem sort of person either, but the fact that you relate to the scorpion in this way, not to mention your beginning curiosity to the safety of being around it-- is tipping me off that this scorpion, this "issue" that I referred to earlier may actually be you.Now before you get all freaky on me, hear me out. It may be an element of you that you've recently discovered, whether it's come up in a friendship or whether you've taken on a new hobby or job, you've discovered some new aspect of yourself that may have seemed neutral at first, but then grows and threatens to take over. Before you could get a handle on it, someone else (the cat) spoke up about it, but you're protecting that cat from it.The reason you would've had to translate this into an animal (or sometimes a different person, in other cases) is because sometimes it's hard to see ourselves objectively and your subconscious mind may be trying to send you a message about a little "personal inventory" that needs to be done, but is trying to get it across in such a way that it won't be offensive to you. Make sense? (Probably could've phrased that better.)So, if I were you, I'd pray over it and see if there's something in yourself, some sting, that you need to deal with. If nothing is apparent, see if there's an outside issue that needs your attention.God bless you and your cat!
